Flowers from Hubby?

my husband and i have been married for a year. the entire time we were dating and have been married he hasnt bought me flowers. how can i get him to get me flowers without actually asking him? and i dont care if he does it for valentines day, i just mean in general, id like him to get me flowers.

Buy yourself some periodically and put them in a lovely vase.





That way he will understand how much you love flowers.





I get them for myself often. I like to look at them.. especially if I'm feeling down or whatever.





He knows I love them.





He delivered 2 dozen roses and lillies this morning to my work.





Perhaps he needs that kind of inspiration.
Reply:My husband never sent me flowers until a secret admirer sent me roses one day, and a cookie bouquet the next. The next day, I got roses from my husband, then every time I was mad at him for a while, until I told him to stop sending me roses as a make-up attempt. I don't care what he gets me, I just want him to be pleasant.

Reply:Did he get the impression from you that you don't really like flowers? Just tell him you love flowers and that you love getting them as gifts and leave it at that. He probably doesn't know you like them.
Reply:Im in the same boat. Guys dont get subtle hints..you have to straight out tell them and even after telling them, you might even have to remind them! Unfortunately, they are wired differently than us! Its frustrating I know! You want him to get you flowers, but you dont want to have to tell him because that would defeat the purpose. You want him to WANT to get you flowers lol...Did you ever see the movie "The Breakup"? " I WANT you to WANT to do the dishes" lol

Reply:Just throw some hints his way...that's all. You can be casual about it, for example: @ the store...say something like "i love those kinds of flowers because...." or buy yourself some...then maybe he'll get it. Good Luck!

Reply:oh boy, with men you HAVE to tell them exactly what you want. I've been married a little over a year now too and I used to get mad at him when he wouldnt get me what I want etc. then I realized he just didnt get it! you have to say I want this and this and this. and even then you are lucky if you get it. You'll just have to say "hun, I would LOVE some flowers" sorry. that's just the way most of them are!
Reply:maybe he thinks flowers are a waste of money. i do and my wife knows that. she was told when we first started dating. i buy her other things, that she can be able to keep if she chooses. does he show his love in other ways? i don't think you should be stuck on what he gets you, just be happy that he shows his love to you some how.
Reply:Hints don't always work...I told him I love getting flowers at work cause usually all the women get something delivered for valentines. I even went on to say that I always felt like an outsider back in high school when people would get the carnations on Valentine's. I never got flowers.


SO I got this other idea you could try...send yourself flowers and when he's all amazed and wanting to know who what where? Smile and smell them and be super happy with your flowers...he might get the hint.

Reply:I hear you. I got them once. ONE time. HAHAH. Let Valentine's Day pass and then just tell him that it would really make you happy if one day he took it upon himself to get you some flowers. Tell him you think it's romantic and tell him how it would make you happy. That's about all you can do.
Reply:all you can do without asking him is drop hints. next time you see a movie where i guy gives a girl a flower say "that is so romantic" maybe he'll get the hint.
